Picture Snowglobe

We made these snowglobe cards at my November Stamp Club Workshop. Everyone brought in a picture to put in the snowglobe and we turned each of our cards into a personalized memento. This particular Sheltie snowglobe is very special to me. As some of you know, our dear Sheltie Bella has cancer and lately we have had some rough days. This picture of Bella was taken around our neighborhood lake earlier this year, when she could still make it on longer walks. I will put this card on our mantle this year along with the one that I made of our son.

Questions:
Lisa asked: I was wondering if the ‘globe’ is actually filled with liquid? It looks like it is in the photo, but if so, how did you seal it?
My snowglobe is not filled with any liquid. I just put the tiniest bit of Silver Glass Glitter in it before I sealed it. Mine is more of a shaker card. I have seen some snowglobes that have been filled with liquid, but I wouldn’t count on the liquid-filled kind being a permanent keepsake. I think the adhesive would weaken and the liquid would eventually seep out. Here is a link to a blog that shows you how to do the water-filled kind: Tis a real Sweet Snowglobe. I hope this helps.
