Autumn Accents Card

We made this Autumn Accents card at my October club workshops. The Core’dinations Woodgrain embossed and sanded Early Espresso card stock provides the perfect backdrop to the trio of fall leaves. A beautiful linen-threaded Brushed Bronze Button anchors the leaves in place.

To make the leaves…
Maple Leaf: Cut a Maple leaf with the Autumn Accents Die and Daffodil Delight Card Stock. Using sponge daubers, sponge leaf from lightest to darkest color with Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and then with Garden Green ink. Spray the back and front of the leaf with water. Wrinkle into a tight ball and carefully unfold. Set aside to dry.
Elm Leaf: Cut an Elm leaf with the Autumn Accents Die and Crumb Cake Card Stock. Use your Simply Scored Tool to line up the leaf from tip to stem on a score line and then score down the middle. Move the leaf to the Piercing Mat and use your stylus tool to freehand score the remaining smaller veins. Sponge with Soft Suede Ink on the embossed side.
Oak Leaf: Cut an Oak leaf with the Autumn Accents Die and Certainly Celery Card Stock. Use the direct to paper technique to smear the leaf with Wild Wasabi ink, working from the center of the leaf outwards.
