Thursday Tip: Cheap Alphabet

Have you ever wanted the perfect-sized alphabet for your cards, but the prices of the regular alphabets have scared you off? Well, then this tip is for you. The Alpha Builder Wheel is priced at just $4.50 US. If you unmount the rubber from the wheel and attach it to some Cling Foam, you have yourself a cheap and perfect-sized alphabet for your cards. You could also do the same thing for the Number Builder Wheel.

I can’t take the credit for this tip. My former upline came up with this idea when the new catalog came out. She graciously allowed me to use her tip for my blog post. It gets even better though, Valli just signed up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstator again in my downline. She is now my upline/downline. LOL! I made her this fun card with my newly unmounted alphabet to welcome her back to Stampin’ Up! Thanks for letting me use your tip Valli, and “welcome back!”

When you’re cutting apart the alphabet, you’ll notice that some of the letters are close together. If you bend the rubber back while cutting it, you should be able to cut it apart without too much difficulty.

I’m storing my new alphabet in a Clear Mount Stamp Case. I made the insert for my stamp case using My Digital Studio.
