Have you ever gone to your ribbon stash and found a big mess? Ribbon has this tendency to unravel which makes finding the spool that you’re looking for difficult. To keep my ribbon from unraveling, I cut a small slit into the cardboard of the spool and tuck the ribbon end into the slit. This tends to work best for narrow ribbon, but you can try it with different widths to see which ones work best. It works super well with baker’s twine and linen thread.
