Merry Christmas Card

This is one of the cards we made at my Simply Elegant Christmas Card Class. This card has a real modern vibe to it with its angles and Washi tape. If you don’t already have the MERRY MINIS PUNCH PACK, it’s on sale this week. I used the tree from this 3 punch set, that also includes a star and a light bulb. This is one of my “must have” punch sets. If you’ve never used Stampin’ Up! punches before, you’ll love the way our punches, cut through card stock easily. All the other supplies used to make the card are available for purchase below.

To create the “merry” angled piece, start with a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White card stock. On the 3-1/2″ side, make a mark 1-3/8″ from the top corner. On the other 3-1/2″ side, make a mark 1-3/8″ up from the bottom corner.

Make a line connecting the corners to the 1-3/8″ mark on the opposite sides.

Cut along the lines to create your angled piece.

If you will be making more than one card, you can use the piece you just made as a template. I then cut an 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of card stock and trace the angled lines on it and then cut using my Stampin’ Trimmer. You can get FOUR angled pieces our of the 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of card stock. Note: To create the smaller cherry cobbler strip. I used this same template and just moved the template down in 1″ increments. Happy Stamping!
