Thursday Tip: Cleaning Clear-Mount Blocks

Thursday Tips, where I share ideas to make stamping easier

Are your once pristine clear-mount stamping blocks sticky and inky? What is the fastest and easiest way to clean them? I’ve tried several ways and this is what works best for me…

I like to clean ALL of my clear blocks at one time. I soak them in a sink of warm (not hot) water for about a minute to soften any adhesive stuck to them.

I then use my Stampin’ Up! Cleaning Cloth to wipe them clean. Sometimes there is a stubborn spot that you might need to soak and wipe again. I like this method, because there are no chemicals involved and as you can see below the result is still great. I hope you like my Thursday Tip!

Diane, unfortunately this cloth is retired, but if you have one that you use for cleaning eye glasses, I think it would work. 🙂 I’ll tell you what I use now for cleaning my blocks. A tissue dampened with 90% rubbing alcohol, works like a charm. 🙂
