Friday Finds, where I find inspiration in the world around me
It was Tuesday afternoon during my son’s soccer game when I unexpectedly received the inspiration for this week’s Friday Finds challenge. I was manning the concession stand and across from me sat a young girl doing her homework. At the end of the soccer game while I was tidying up I noticed the above index card lying on the counter. I looked around and caught the smile of the girl who had been sitting across from me during the game. I thanked her and told her how happy her art made me. I was very touched by her unexpected and thoughtful gift.
Sooooo, in honor of her art work, I’ve made it into this week’s Friday Find. I used her rainbow, happy face and “Be Happy” greeting to inspire my card. I’m going to pass this card forward tomorrow. I challenge you to do the same. Make a card for someone “just because” and surprise them. Pass your card onto a friend, a neighbor, a work colleague or even a stranger. Make someone’s day today!!
The Sans and Stripes Photopolymer Alphabet Stamp Set is the perfect alphabet for stamping free hand on a note card. This set has two of each letter which allowed me to stamp the double ‘P’ in Happy without stamping the ‘P’ twice. Half of the letters in this alphabet are bold and the other half are striped which makes for a fun look. Find out the rest of the supplies you’ll need and where to get them HERE!
To make the rainbow I cut rings by running two consecutive circles through the Big Shot at the same time. I started by cutting the first ring out of Real Red card stock using the largest and 2nd largest circles of the Circles Collection Framelits and then worked my way down in rainbow color order. I then glued all the rings onto to a scrap piece of paper and then cut it in half. You can get two rainbows out of one set of rings.
