Friday Finds, where I find inspiration in the world around me
I just never know where I’ll find inspiration for my Friday Finds Challenge. This week I was heading into Target when I looked up and was immediately struck by the cool ceiling decorations hanging at the entrance. I just had to recreate them on a card.
The target decorations were only partially cut out and then bent forward to provide dimension. I couldn’t recreate the designs exactly with the tools that I had. Instead I punched out the shapes and mounted them on dimensionals to create a similar effect. I also turned over the designer paper to provide a little more contrast. I just love how this card turned out because it’s so simple to make.

To make the punched circles, first punch the Bitty Butterfly Punch shape into a piece of In-Color Designer Series Paper.
Reserve the butterfly for later use.
Next center the 1-3/4″ circle punch over the butterfly hole and punch the circle. Repeat with the Petite Petals Punch and two other in-colors.
Adhere all three circles to the front of a card base. Use Dimensionals to pop up the inside punched shape. When you look at the circles from the side, you can see the white hole peeking from underneath the punched shape. Happy Stamping!
