There’s a subtle, yet powerful enemy lurking in my craft room. It seeks to defeat me with its brightness and tries to compete with the purity of white light. It is the color yellow. Back when I started stamping I first noticed the difficulty with yellow, but believed that it was just my inexperience. Later I learned that even accomplished artists have trouble with yellow and use it sparingly. Enter the Watercolor Wonder Note Cards and FOUR almost entirely yellow surfaces to work with. What to do? What to do?
When confronted with a lot of yellow I usually bring out my secret weapon BLUE and I think it worked. The Island Indigo flower and thank you on the card work to tone down my nemesis yellow. I won’t show you my first attempt to battle with this yellow note card… it got really ugly and that’s why you only see three cards in my photo. LOL!!
I used the chalk marker to add a few white highlights to the Flower Shop flower. It’s just a simple addition, but I think the marker accents and the pearl jewel finish off the flower nicely. Find out the rest of the supplies you’ll need to make this easy card and where to get them HERE!
