After making the Curvy Keepsake Shadowbox on Friday, I couldn’t keep my hands off the wren stamp from “An Open Heart” stamp set. The little bird stamp just speaks to my heart. Keeping along the same lines as the shadowbox, I cut an opening in this card so that the wren could peek through. Isn’t he the cutest? This card is super easy to make, but I’ve given you a few tips below, in case you want to recreate it. Find out the supplies you’ll need to make this card HERE!
Take a crumb cake note card and cut a hole with the second smallest deco label framelit in the center of the card front.
Cut a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Slip the Vanilla piece inside the card base and trace around the deco label hole with a pencil. Stamp the wren and the thank you from “An Open Heart” inside the pencil lines with Memento ink. Then color the wren with Skin Tone Blendabilities. Erase the pencil lines.
Next stamp the branch in Memento ink on the edge of the Crumb Cake Note card.
Color the branch with Old Olive and Skin Tone Blendabilities.
Adhere the Very Vanilla piece of Card Stock inside the Crumb Cake Note Card and tie a little linen thread on the side of the card. Happy Stamping!!
Here is the sketch that I used to make my card. You can use it to make your own card. Just replace the words and images with stamps and framelits that you have in your collection.
