Changing Scene Snow Globe Card

Last week I started working with the Sparkly Seasons Bundle to come up with a WOW card. I knew I could come up with something, but all I found were dead ends. Then just by making a few changes in my parameters, this fun card came together. The picture in this snow globe changes when you turn the wheel which makes it the perfect card to give to someone special. If you want to make one of your own, just follow my above video tutorial.

I hate to brag, but MY falalalala is longer than your falala! AND no I didn’t get a special version of the Seasonal Frame Thinlits, but I will show you how to make yours longer too. Don’t forget, if you purchase the Sparkly Seasons Stamp Set and the Seasonal Frame Thinlits together as a bundle, you will save 15%. All the rest of the supplies you’ll need for this project are available for purchase HERE!

This is what the wheel looks like before it is attached to the card. In my video tutorial, I go over how to align all the images, so that they show up perfectly in the window. I used the following Marker colors on the images: Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Old Olive, Pacific Point and Crumb Cake.

Quick Reference

  • Card Base: 10″ x 5″ score in half at the 5″ mark
  • Designer Paper Panel: 5″ x 3″ Merry Moments DSP
  • Window: use 4th smallest Circle Framelit 1/4″ from top (line up with outside of framelit)
  • Finger Hole: use 4th smallest Circle Framelit 3/8″ in from side (line up with inside of framelit)
  • Scallop Circle Wheel: draw line through center, count over 7 scallops draw line through center, count over 8 scallops draw line through center

When you turn the wheel, the images change from the nutcracker to the dancer to the snowman and back again. HOW FUN!! If you want even more fun tutorials, remember you can earn a FREE tutorial from me when you place a $15 order in my Stampin’ Up Store (see the choices HERE).
