On Saturday, we dropped off our son at college. It was an absolutely crazy week filled with an 8-hour road trip, a night in Niagara Falls and a couple of days of paper work. Then we topped it off with our son’s 19th birthday. Needless to say it was an epic week filled with lots of emotion.
On our way back to Boston, my husband and I spent a lovely night with dinner at the Stone Mill Inn in St. Catharines and so began our journey to become empty nesters. Today’s card was inspired by the fact that we are empty nesters now and while we will miss having our son in our daily lives, it’s also a great time for us to rediscover who we are as a couple. I’m looking forward to the next year for both our son and for us. If you would like to see how I made this card, just check out my video below (PS fast forward to the 3 min mark for sound).
