I came across an elegant new fancy fold card this week called a Double Fan Fold Card by Sam Calcott. I loved Sam’s card, but it was too large to fit inside our standard envelopes. So I changed the measurements so that when folded it has a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ footprint. This card is a definite WOW card and you will want to make it for someone special. On Saturday I will send out a handy Project Sheet for this card to my Email List Subscribers. You can also see how I made it in my video tutorial (https://youtu.be/MGvR1DUinXQ) below.

Hi Brenda:
Ya’ know…you are one of my FAVE Stampin’ Up! Demonstraters!!! You are one that I look up too!!! First off, you are so talented…I wish I had half your talent. Your creativity overwhelms me. AND, you are so gracious. I LOVE that you share so much with us. And, you are even more gracious when I see you giving credit to others where credit is due.
Your Card is just Beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Awww! Thank you, Lynn! I love to give credit when I can. I hope you have a great weekend!
Hugs, Brenda
Love this style of card. Always looking for interesting fun folds, for my clients. Thanks for recreating into a smaller version.
I learnt today from your conversation that you were a fellow Canadian, so now I know why I connect with you LOL. I so enjoy all your videos and projects. I’ve been following you fo a long time now.
I live in Nanaimo, BC also am a fellow demonstrator.
I made 7 cards after watching your video. Can’t believe how easy there really were to make. Thanks for sharing.
Stay safe,
Dawn
Hi Dawn, Thanks so much for leaving me a comment. I am indeed a fellow Canadian and I love Vancouver Island. I’m so glad you like my projects. Have a great weekend! Brenda
Love your cards
Thank you, Sandra!
I had seen this card on Pinterest and on some other places but could not get a video as close up and precise as yours. Thank you from Mississippi for making it so plain! I can do this when I get my craft room all set up! This is a keeper. I am a demonstrator (by title only) as I love the discounts. Learning though is my largest goal.
Thank you, Dee! I’m so glad you found my video helpful. Have a great week! Brenda
Love the card and especially the time you took to make it “standard size” for us! Would like to see if you design another card now to use the triangle pieces that you left off this one;-)
Hi Bonnie, I’m so glad you love the card. I tend not to worry too much about throwing away small scraps of paper, but if I can find them in my trash bin (gasp of horror), I will see if I can post a card on my Facebook Group of what you can to with them. You could also just use them on the card. I just decided not to.
Hi Brenda – I also found your site by accident and am so happy that I did! WOW, WOW, WOW! Thank you for your detailed instruction and illustration on the Fan Fold card…it looks so intimidating but after watching your video, not so much. Love your pointers on the score board as I dread dragging that large tool out but will definitely do so for this card. I look forward to receiving your written tutorial. Thank you again from Lou in beautiful western NC.
Hi Lou, I’m so glad you enjoyed my version of the Double Fan Fold Card. I hope your card turns out beautifully. Take care, Brenda
