Peaches have a special place in my heart. Not because they are my favorite fruit, but because we used to have a big peach tree in our front yard. They bring back memories of my dad, who built our family home overlooking Lake Okanagan. They also bring back memories of being chased by wasps as the peaches ripened and drew in the stinging insects with their sweet fragrance. Mostly though, peaches make me smile.
