Today I used the Grassy Grove Bundle to create a beautiful Fall Birthday Card. Most of the color of this card is added using sponge daubers and a Blending Brush and ink pads. It’s a lot of fun playing with color this way and no two cards will be perfectly alike. The layout for this card is from this week’s CASE-ing Tuesday sketch.

My card was CASE’d from page 28 of the July-December Mini Catalog. Each week we makeover a card from the current Stampin’ Up catalog and then share it on our Facebook Group. You can join our CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see more samples and/or share your own card with us. It’s a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. I hope you will join us.
Instructions
- Card Base: Start with an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Pear Pizzazz CS. On the long side, score at the 4-1/4″ mark. Fold along the score line.
- Fall Die Cut: Cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White CS. Die cut with the Grassy Grove Die. Color the tree trunks with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Then use sponge daubers and the 3 ink colors (Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz) to add color to the trees and grass.
- Background Piece: Cut a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Basic White CS. Use a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink to lightly color the background a pale blue.
- Adhere the fall die cut piece and the background piece together and then adhere to the card front.
- Banner: Cut a 3-1/2″ x 3/4″ piece of Basic White CS. Punch both ends with the Banners Pick a Punch. Stamp a greeting in Tuxedo Black Ink. Adhere to the card front.
- Deer: Stamp a deer in Soft Suede Ink. Cut out with the matching die. Adhere to the card front with Mini Dimensionals.
- Embellish the card Champagne Rhinestone Jewels.
