Graduation season is almost upon us. Our son Nicolas will be graduating from university in June. He has accomplished so much in his 5-year engineering degree (8 terms of school and 6 co-op placements), all during a global pandemic and the complexities of going to school in another country during that time. We are so proud of him!
This graduation card will be easy to customize for the colors of any school. The Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper has a nice variety of colors to create the backdrop squares. I did my graduation cap in Misty Moonlight Card stock and the tassel and button were colored using Stampin’ Blends. I used the Happy Little Things Stamp Set to create the two-color “Celebrate” greeting on the card. The layout is from our CASE-ing Tuesday Challenge (see below).

CASE-ing Tuesday
My card was CASE’d from page 25 of the 2024 Jan-Apr Mini Catalog. Each week we makeover a card from the current Stampin’ Up catalog and then share it on our Facebook Group. You can join our CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see more samples and/or share your own card with us. It’s a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. I hope you will join us.

Instructions
- Card Base: Start with an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Lemon Lime Twist CS. On the long side, score at the 4-1/4″ mark. Fold in half.
- DSP Layer: Cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP. Stamp “you did it” on the top corner of the piece with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Adhere to card.
- Miscellaneous Squares: Cut squares out of the Bright & Beautiful DSP using the Stylish Shapes Dies in the following sizes 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ , 2″ x 2″ and TWO 1″ x 1″. Adhere the squares to the card.
- Graduation Cap: Cut a 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ square out of Misty Moonlight CS using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Color a white square brad with the Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. Pierce a hole in the center of the square and insert a brad. Color a 6″ length of white Baker’s Twine with the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. Tie into a tassel (see video) and attach to the cap. Adhere the cap to the card with Dimensionals.
- Greeting Layer: Cut a 4-1/4″ x 3/4″ piece of Basic White CS. Punch both ends with the Happy Labels Pick a Punch. Stamp the “Celebrate” outline stamp in Misty Moonlight Ink followed by the “Celebrate” filler stamp in Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
- Finishing: Embellish with some Rhinestone Jewels.
