Instructions
- Card Base: Start with an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Summer Splash CS. Score in half at the 4-1/4″ mark. Fold along the score line.
- DSP Layer: Cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of matching DSP and adhere centered on the card front.
- Birdhouse: Stamp a birdhouse in Petunia Pop Ink on matching DSP. Cut out with the matching outer die and also cut the hole for the birdhouse. Place the birdhouse on the cardfront and trace the hole in pencil.
- Slider Holder: Cut a 5-3/4″ x 2-3/8″ piece of Summer Splash CS. On a short side, score at the 3/8″ and 2″ mark. On a long side score at the 3/8″ mark.
- Die cutting holes and thumb grips. Cut out the traced pencil hole on the card front. Also, cut a thumb grip using half of the circle die at the top of the card front and on the unscored side of the Slider Holder.
- Slider Holder: Fold the slider holder along the score lines and adhere to the back of the card front.
- Slider Piece: Cut a 5-3/8″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Basic White. Place in the slider cover. If the white piece over hangs the card, cut off excess. Trace the thumbgrip with a pencil. Pull out the slider and stamp the greeting right below the thumbgrip. Place the slider back in the holder so that the greeting is showing at the top of the card. Trace the hole with a pencil. Pull the slider back out and stamp a bird in where the hole is. Push the slider back in all the way and trace the hole again. Pull the slider back out and darken the hole with black in and a sponge dauber.
- Finishing: Use die cut pieces and embellishments to finish the birdhouse.
