Cake Day Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday!  I need birthday cards, so today I’m making a fun Birthday Card that features a big slice of cake. I made it using the Cake Day Bundle and I’ll show you how to easily create my design in others colors. The card front layout was inspired from our CASE-ing Tuesday Challenge (see below), but I went totally rogue and my layout doesn’t match today’s sketch.

CASE-ing Tuesday My cards were CASE’d from page 19 of the 2026 Jan-April Mini Catalog. Each week we makeover a card from the current Stampin’ Up catalog and then share it on our Facebook Group. You can join our CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see more samples and/or share your own card with us. It’s a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. I hope you will join us.

Instructions

1. Card Base: Start with an 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Gorgeous Grape CS. On the long side, score at the 5-1/2″ mark. Fold along the score line.
2. Embossed Layer: Cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Gorgeous Grape CS. Emboss with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. Adhere to card.
3. Cake: Use the cake card die to cut a cake out of Basic White CS. Stamp all the images needed to make the cake in Fresh Freesia ink. Also die cut the icing out of Fresh Freesia CS. Stamp with the sprinkles stamp in Fresh Freesia ink. Stamp and die cut some icing swirls. Die cut some icing swirls out of white CS. Die cut the candle out of Petunia Pop CS. Die cut the flame out of Gold Foil Sheet. Cut a Banner out of Basic White and stamp Happy Birthday on it with Fresh Freesia Ink. Assemble and glue all the pieces together and adhere to the card front.
