Violet Dreams Birthday Card

I’m up in Canada this week, so I’ve pre-recorded a video for making this beautiful birthday card using the Violet Dreams Suite Collection which will be available starting July 1st along with other Online Exclusives. CASE-ing Tuesday My card was CASE’d from Page 41 of the 2026 May-Aug Mini Catalog. Each week we makeover a card from the current Stampin’ Up catalog and then share it on our Facebook Group. You can join our CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see more samples and/or share your own card with us. It’s a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. I hope you will join us.

Instructions

1. Card Base: Start with an 8-1/4″ x 5-1/2″” piece of Thick Basic White CS. On the long side, score at the 4″ mark. Fold along the score line. One side will be shorter than the other
2. Violet Dreams DSP: Cut a 4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Violet Dreams DSP. Adhere to the card.
3. Embossed Strip: Cut a 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Peaceful Pine CS. Emboss with the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing folder. Adhere to the inside of the card.
4. Scallop-Edge Oval: Cut an 8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Fresh Freesia CS. On the long side score in half at the 4″ mark. Place the scallop-edge oval die over top of the piece, lining it up so that the folded end is inside of the oval. Run through the die-cutting machine. Adhere to the inside of card making sure that the fold is along the front edge of the card.
5. White Ovals: Cut two smooth oval out of Basic White CS. Stamp a Violet and a greeting in black ink on each of the ovals. Choose different greetings for the outside and the inside. Color the Violets with Stampin’ Blends. Adhere one to the outside and one to the inside scallop-edge oval.
6. Inside Finishing: Cut a smooth oval out of DSP and adhere it to the scallop-edge oval. Use some of the die cuts from the DSP to further decorate the inside of the card.
7. Outside Finishing: Embellish the front with an Adhesive-backed Bloom and a bow tied from Fresh Freesia Satin Ribbon.
