Swiss Miss Cocoa Card

Today I will be making a cute Christmas card that holds a packet of Swiss Miss Cocoa Mix using the Christmas Crew Bundle. I designed a special pocket that holds the Swiss Miss packet perfectly. The Christmas Crew Bundle allows you to choose either a bear, snowman or moose holding a sign that you can customize with your choice of greeting. The card front layout was inspired by our CASE-ing Tuesday Challenge (see below).

CASE-ing Tuesday My card was CASE’d from Page 27 of the 2026 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog. Each week we makeover a card from the current Stampin’ Up catalog and then share it on our Facebook Group. You can join our CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see more samples and/or share your own card with us. It’s a great way to improve your stamping and challenge yourself to try new styles. I hope you will join us.

Instructions

1. Card Base: Start with an 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake CS. On the long side, score at the 5-1/2″ mark. Fold along the score line.
2. Swiss Miss Cocoa Pocket: Cut a 5-5/8″ x 5-3/4″ piece of DSP. On the 5-5/8″ side, score at the 1″ and 4-5/8″ marks. On the 5-3/4″ side, score at the 5/8″ and 1″ marks. Cut away the corner squares. Fold along the score lines. Cut a 3-1/2″ x 1″ piece of the same DSP. Adhere this piece to the top, inside of pocket tabs. Adhere the pocket to the card base along the bottom tab and top 1″ strip only. This step is hard to explain in words, so please watch the video for detailed instructions.
3. Alternate Non-pocket Layer: Cut a 3-5/8″ x 4-3/4″ piece of DSP. Adhere to the card base.
4. Banner Layer: Cut a 2-7/8″ wide banner out of Basic White CS. Adhere to the card.
5. Trees & Main Character: Stamp and die cut and color the bear, moose or snowman. Stamp a greeting in the empty space. Also, die cut trees out of Shaded Spruce CS and a mug out of Poppy Parade CS (optional). Adhere to the banner layer.
6. Finishing: Embellish with a box and dewdrops embellishments.
